I have seen many french pattern pool travertine pavers. I also seen a lot of indoor french pattern flooring. I am wondering if there are any areas where people would NEVER use french pattern. How do you feel about French Pattern vs. Non-French or Regular Travertine Pattern?

matter of taste IMHO

We are considering travertine floors in our newly done bathroom, but we're not sure. We may just got with normal tile! There are too many options. Personally, I really like the French pattern!

The French pattern is more visually interesting than the standard square tile pattern, I think, and yet I tend to like the square pattern better. It's a close call though.

I don't think French pattern works in every setting. I have it in my kitchen, and it's great. We have some unique angles in there, and the French pattern just "felt right". I considered it in my bathroom, and it didn't feel right at all.
